Ask Lindsay a question on All Access Drafted with North Melbourne’s fourth-round pick (no.53) in the 2006 National Draft, Thomas was seen as one of the best pick-ups that year after his impressive first season in 2007. The former Port Adelaide Magpie burst onto the scene, kicking four goals in his first pre-season game for the Kangaroos and went on to play 12 games for the year. 2008 saw another strong year from the exciting small forward – combining with Matt Campbell, a new structure was brought to the North Melbourne forward line, as the pair booted 64 goals for the season. Thomas worked hard to keep the ball in attack racking up 63 tackles for the year and ranked 10th for North Melbourne in kicks. Like many of his teammates, Thomas wasn't able to have the season he would have liked in 2009. He played the first 12 games of the season, but struggled to find the goals as regularly as he did the previous year. After missing rounds 12 and 13 due to injury, Thomas returned with a four goal haul against Carlton the highlight of his season. Unfortunately he couldn't sustain that form and saw himself back at North Ballarat after a quiet game against the Eagles. 32 possessions and three goals for the Roosters saw him recalled for the final game of the season, but he'll be looking for more consistency in 2010. Darren Crocker 2009 review: Like Jesse Smith, we just need to get his body right. He's a first-round draft pick and we haven't been able to see him at all. Hopefully that can all be behind him now. He's signed up for another two years so the club has put a lot faith in Robbie.Draft history: 2006 NAB AFL Draft 4th round selection (Kangaroos) No. 53 overall.First game for North Melbourne: Round 1, 2007 v CollingwoodBrownlow Medal: 3 career votesPlayer sponsors: Become a North Melbourne fan on FacebookFollow North Melbourne on Twitter
