North Melbourne members and supporters in Western Australia have a rare opportunity to get up close and personal with some of the Kangaroos’ stars during the split round.

Last year’s Syd Barker Medal winner Andrew Swallow and livewire midfielder Cruize Garlett are heading home and will host a special clinic this Saturday at 2pm at the eastern end of Langley Park in Perth.

Swallow has had a brilliant first half of the season averaging 21 disposals and 8 tackles a game while leading North’s young midfield.

Garlett has played five games so far this year and is averaging 17 touches.

“It’d be great to see as many North people there as possible. We don’t get too many chances to get home and it’s great to have the ability to say thanks to all the fans there.”

All WA-based members and supporters are encouraged to bring their kids along for the clinic or come to meet the players and grab an autograph.

Swallow said that he was looking forward to the trip home.

“We’ve been given a few days off which will give us the chance to freshen up a bit and I thought I’d take the opportunity to head back to Perth.

“We have fantastic support over there and there is a great history of North players from WA so we try to spend some time with our supporters whenever we can.”

The clinic will kick off at 2pm, call Scott Coghlan from the WA Support Group on 0414 685 169 for more information.

There have been so many class players, but i'd have to say Wayne Carey is the greatest player to have ever played the game, he could turn a game on his own boot and was a complete player!

Hard to nominate one out of so many, but I think I'd give Barry Cable the guernsey, for being a vital part of turning the club around and winning our first premiership.
