Restricted to a handful of VFL reserves games for North Ballarat in his first season with the Kangaroos by a back injury. But the lightly built ruckman did not let 2011 go to waste, building strength in the gym and working hard on his ruckwork—both on the track and in the video room—with ruck coach Alex Ishchenko and fellow big men Hamish McIntosh and Todd Goldstein. A long-term project player, he should be aiming to cement a senior VFL spot in 2012.
