An aggressive full-back from Mooroolbark, Pedersen was brought in as a ready-made AFL player.

After spending the 2010 season with VFL club Box Hill Hawks, North gave the strongly built backman a chance to prove himself at AFL level with a rookie list spot.

A proven goal kicker, Pedersen can also be used as a mobile ruckman and has great closing speed for his size.

Pedersen was given his first chance at AFL level in round 1 of the 2011 season after Todd Goldstein pulled out with illness. The 25 year old impressed early on but didn’t string many games together until round 11 where he really began to find form and cement his spot in the squad.

Pedersen has been elevated on to the senior list and will be looking forward to building on his good form in 2012.
