Performed admirably on Brisbane Lions skipper Jonathan Brown in his AFL debut after forcing his way on to the senior list when Nathan Grima broke a finger ahead of North’s round nine clash. Played eight of the Kangaroos’ nine games from rounds nine to 17, but was dropped and could not regain his spot.

Strong in one-on-one contests, but faces stiff competition for a senior position in 2012, given North’s wealth of key defenders. Had shoulder surgery last September.
