Firrito will become the senior man in North’s back six in 2012 with Brady Rawlings’ retirement at the end of last season.

Firrito’s form may have dropped slightly – he finished outside the top-10 in the best and fairest for just the second time in the past seven seasons – he still finished fourth at the club for rebound 50s, fifth for one-percenters and ninth for inside 50s.

His ability to man smalls and talls ensures he remains an invaluable player.
