North Melbourne’s first selection in the 2007 National Draft, Robbie Tarrant has been touted as one of the future stars of the club.

But the 196cm athletic forward was struck down by a series of serious shoulder injuries in the early stages of his career.

Frustrated with continually spending time on the sidelines, Tarrant worked hard in his rehabilitation and was re-signed despite having not played a game since being drafted.

After more injury troubles in 2011 Tarrant managed seven games for the Kangaroos and spent the rest of his season with VFL affiliate Werribee.

Tremendously athletic and well built; Tarrant is working to develop his game further as a key-defender and cement his spot amongst a strong group in the North Melbourne backline.

Draft history:
2007 NAB AFL Draft 1st round selection (North Melbourne) No. 15 overall.
